Valeo
Valeo was established in 1923 under the name The Société Anonyme Française du Ferodo in Saint-Quentin, near Paris. In its early years, it began producing brake pads under the license and supervision of Ferodo UK.

After gaining customer acceptance and diversifying its products, Valeo started producing braking systems in 1960 and expanded its production into thermal, electrical, and lighting systems during the 1970s and 1980s. In May 1980, the company changed its name to Valeo, meaning "I am."
